G-clamp

G-clamps are used to hold or compress workpieces while they are being glued or worked on. They are often used with a C-clamp to tighten a joint together. If a large amount of force is required, the workpiece can be compressed using both G-clamps and C-clamps working together.

G-clamps are made from either cast iron or steel, and have either wooden or metal handles. Cast iron clamps are more durable than those made of steel, but they require more effort to squeeze them shut. Steel clamps tend to be lighter and easier to use, but they do not last as long as cast iron ones.

The type of clamp you choose depends on the type of project you’re working on and what kind of material you’re working with. For example, if you’re gluing large pieces of wood together, it may be difficult to squeeze your hand into a small space between them in order to apply pressure evenly throughout the joint. This is where a G-clamp comes in handy because it allows you to apply even pressure over larger surfaces by squeezing one handle down onto the other side of your work piece instead of trying to get your fingers all around it at once as if
